Mangrove Reforestation
The project was made the relationship among the leadership team, employees, government and community by sharing time, knowledge, resource and participation in activities together.
The likely effects of global warming include a greater frequency of extreme weather conditions: droughts; heat waves; and floods caused by rising sea levels. The Mangrove Reforestation Project is the fifth projects for the 2007 BP Community Project. The project was initiative for 2 important objectives:-
The project was held on November 30th, 2007 at Pom Pha Chulachomklao (Fortress) Samutprakarn. The Pom Pha Chulachomklao is the center of ecology system for natural education and nursery for young fauna, and a source of oxygen. Currently it is the risk area which the seawater created the coastal erosion and possible effects and damage to the ecology system.
That’s why project selected the Phom Pha Chulachomlao for the Mangrove Reforestation in order to restore the environment and improve the ecology system. This project was successfully to meet the objective by engagement more than 230 employees from all business and functions get involve this activities and increase 2,000 Mangroves.
